How Do We Use Key Hospital OP Modifiers Correctly?

This presentation will address some of the key modifiers specifically approved for ambulatory surgery center hospital outpatient use. We will review the Level I and Level II modifiers, determining when to use one versus the other. We will solve the coders’ dilemma in determining when it is correct to assign modifier 59. It should not be the modifier of last resort. Specific examples of correct usage of modifiers will be shared.
