$95.00
March 16, 2010
Available Online or on CD
Duration: 1 hour
This presentation will address some of the key modifiers specifically approved for ambulatory surgery center hospital outpatient use. We will review the Level I and Level II modifiers, determining when to use one versus the other. We will solve the coders dilemma in determining when it is correct to assign modifier 59. It should not be the modifier of last resort. We will see what, if any, impact modifiers can have on payment. Why do we even need to use modifiers? This question will be answered in this very informative presentation. Specific examples of correct usage of modifiers will be shared as well as official references that support the meaning and use of modifiers.
