Debbie L. Rickelman, RHIT - Vice President, Coding Services
Debbie has over 30 years in the health information management field working in the areas of coding, quality improvement, data collection and reporting, public health, the electronic health record, and customer service. At Amphion, Debbie leads the entire team of home-based coding specialists and coding consultants.
Prior to Amphion, Debbie's responsibilities included education and training for the Wisconsin Hospital Association's Information Center. She was accountable for coding and data standard issues as they related to the WHA data submission.
Debbie participated in national workgroups on data standards and quality improvement. Prior to that time she worked as a study coordinator and program manager at the Wisconsin Medical Society focusing on the Medical Outcomes Research Project and the Wisconsin Antibiotic Research Network. Debbie also has hands-on experience with multiple hospital, clinic and HMO coding, quality improvement, and customer service initiatives.
Debbie is an active member of Healthcare Financial Management Association, AHIMA and the Wisconsin Health Information Management Association (WHIMA). She has served as WHIMA board secretary and continues to be active on various committees.
