Dialysis Coding Education May 20, 2004 This session was for dialysis center coders/billers. It included discussion of basic coding guidelines and guidelines related to topics such as diabetes, hypertension, renal failure, metabolic disorders, and anemia - all conditions commonly seen in patients needing dialysis.
WHIMA Annual Conference Skill vs. Luck with CPT April 30, 2004 Let's not gamble with our facility's reimbursement! We're going to brush up on our CPT-4 coding skills. This workshop will cover the coding of some of the more common ambulatory procedures that give us some of our greatest challenges such as foot procedure, fracture treatment, and even colonoscopies. We will also review some of the new 2004 codes and see how they are to be used.
WHIMA Coding Workshop Why is Orthopedic Coding Such a Challenge? March 17, 2004 This presentation will review some orthopedic procedures that are most challenging when trying to code with CPT such as those nasty foot, shoulder, and knee procedures. Related CCI edits will be reviewed, as well as correct use of modifiers as it relates to these procedures.
Coding Seminar Covenant All-Day Session June 24, 2002 The morning session concentrated on basic ICD-9-CM coding guidelines. The afternoon session was more advanced, dealing with certain topics such as hypertension, renal failure, dehydration, and neoplasm coding.
