Lois is one of the leading coding experts in the state of
Wisconsin, as well as a widely recognized health information educator and
consultant. Lois was the Coding Division Manager at OmniMed Transcription for 7
years—mentoring her staff to become expert consultants in ICD-9-CM.
Lois is always willing to go the extra mile to promote quality coding education
for her HIM peers, UM professionals and physicians. At Amphion, she leads
a staff of consultants in providing high-quality coding and coding review
services to the healthcare community.
Lois is currently serving on the Madison Area Technical College Advisory Committee for the Medical Coding Specialist Program. She is also serving on the Moraine Park Technical College Advisory Committee for the Health Information Technology Program.
Lois is a past president of WHIMA, and a recipient of WHIMA's Distinguished Member Award. In 1999 she was awarded WHIMA's Motivator/Educator Award. Lois has a proven track record for providing up-to-date, cutting-edge, group and individual coding education, training and consultation. Her presentations, including webinars, are in constant demand. Lois remains active in AHIMA's and WHIMA's membership.
